Project Description:
The addition of 10 beds to the Banksia Mental Health
Unit has allowed the New England Area Health Service
to maintain its Best Practice Mental Health Service
delivery standards and the objectives set in its 1998
Strategic Plan.
The new areas improve the configurations and layout
of the existing facility, open the entire unit to give
better perceptions of space and light, provide more
flexibility for the management of diverse groups of
clients and Improve the facilities to meet current
work practices, policies and procedures.
Construction was completed in August 2002
