Project Description
Capworks Management acted as Project Manager for the Radiotherapy Services Redevelopment at Monash Medical Centre (Moorabbin Campus) and the Geelong Hospital. The total project cost was $39.4 million. Completion was in 2007.
The project at Monash Medical Centre involved the design and construction of two additional radiotherapy bunkers. Together with planning and support areas, specialist clinics and expanded car parking.
The project at the Geelong Hospital involved the design and construction of two additional radiotherapy bunkers along with associated support facilities, extensions to the waiting areas, additional areas for planning, physics, CT simulation, consulting and administration. To create the additional space needed for the additional bunkers, the Eastern Annex needed to be demolished and its occupants relocated to newly built accommodation adjacent to the Outpatients Building and the Andrew Love Cancer Centre.
