Project Description
The renovation and refurbishment of the Shellharbour Emergency Department sought to address the substantial increase in patient numbers and limited functional areas and space.
The new Department provided an expanded and spacious treatment area providing better observation and working areas; greater number of consulting and treatment rooms (including a plaster and isolation room); a Triage area which met current guidelines and a new pathology laboratory.
The Emergency Department expanded from 12 beds to 20 beds and provided better patient flow, updated services and staff tutorial rooms and offices.
