Description:
The renovation
and refurbishment of the Shellharbour Emergency Department
is seeking to address the substantial increase in patient
numbers and limited functional areas and space.
The new Department will provide an expanded and spacious
treatment area providing better observation and working
areas; greater number of consulting and treatment rooms
(including a plaster and isolation room); a Triage
area which will meet current guidelines and a new pathology
laboratory.
The Emergency Department will expand from 12 beds
to 20 beds and will provide better patient flow, updated
services and staff tutorial rooms and offices.
