Description:
The
upgrade of the Tamworth Emergency Department has
created a new identity for the department, which
is contemporary and efficient for staffing but also
comfortable and non threatening for the patients.
The new Department is approximately three times the
size of the existing facility and provides a central
staff station surrounded by Clinical areas.
The Department now has 17 beds (including 2 resuscitation
beds in a separate area); four treatment rooms, six
consult rooms and a number of staff areas including
a meeting/tutorial room.
Special consideration was made to ensure ease of ambulance
access, delineation between staff and client areas
and environments which provide flexibility and functionality.
