Project Description
Capworks' role of Project Director, Project Manager and Construction Superintendent encompassed the management of briefing, planning, design, construction and commissioning on behalf of the South Western Sydney Area Health Service.
The Hospital has been redeveloped to major teaching hospital status with a $200M budget. The project was completed early 1997.
Work completed during 1991 included the $12M Health Services Building and refurbishment of the Intensive Care, High Dependency and Emergency Service Units.
In early 1992 schematic design for the whole development was completed. Refurbishment projects for Coronary Care, Pathology, Administration and Pharmacy commenced together with foundation contracts.
In late 1992 major construction of the $30M Pathology and Maternity Buildings commenced together with four associated engineering services contract packages. All were commissioned in January, 1994.
Construction of the Oncology Centre, the Education and Clinical Services Building was completed in late 1996 with commissioning carried out in early 1997.
Capworks managed over 60 individual contract packages on the Liverpool project.
