Project Description
The redevelopment of St Vincent's Hospital was a complex project aiming to significantly reduce recurrent cost by consolidating accommodation on site in new buildings complementing core services in the Aikenhead Building.
The focus of the Hospital's service delivery will increasingly become ambulatory, and the functional plan in the PDP reflects this shift.
The site of the new building was occupied requiring detailed and complex decanting and services diversions.
Construction of the main building commenced in May 2000 with completion in 2002.
